Petr’s journey through motorsport’s junior categories has been an impressive one. The successes that have earned him a call-up to the prestigious Sauber Academy driver development programme are detailed below.

With Italian F4 success under his belt, Petr’s career took another impressive step forward in 2019 as he graduated to the Formula Renault Eurocup – arguably the most fiercely contested junior single-seater championship in the world. Having adjusted to the brand-new Tatuus T-318 chassis and 1.8-litre turbocharged engine, Petr was consistently on the leading pace, despite his and his BhaiTech team’s lack of experience in the category. A pair of podiums – P3 at Silverstone and P2 in Barcelona – illustrated Petr’s capabilities and other consistent point-scoring finishes helped him to finish P8 out of 26 drivers in the final championship standings.
