Having enjoyed a successful first season in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2019, Petr has joined the championship-winning R-ace GP squad for the 2020 season. After learning what is required to be successful in Renault Sport’s highly-competitive single-seater championship, the 17-year-old is determined to build on his impressive rookie form in 2019 and become a regular podium finisher during the upcoming season.

This is a very famous circuit, but it’s a difficult one because it has so many corners. There’s a real mix of high- and low-speed turns and that makes it hard to get a good lap. There’s definitely no room for error.

This isn’t one of my favourite venues. When I raced there last year it was very cold and rainy. It’s quite a low grip track and I found it hard to get the tyres to work properly in the past. That’s not a combination that gives you much confidence.

This is a track that I don’t look forward to racing on. For me, it has no character and I honestly find the configuration a bit dull. Last year I was flipped over at Turn One so this isn’t a track that holds particularly good memories for me!
